Author Guidelines

Proceedings National Conference Sinesia welcomes original scientific manuscripts resulting from research, community service, conceptual studies, and other scholarly activities relevant to the scope of the conference.

The proceedings provide a forum for academics, researchers, practitioners, students, and other scholars to disseminate research findings, innovations, and scholarly contributions at national and international levels.

Authors are required to ensure that submitted manuscripts comply with the following guidelines before submission.

1. Types of Manuscripts

Proceedings National Conference Sinesia accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  1. Original Research Articles

  2. Community Service Articles

  3. Literature Review Articles

  4. Systematic Literature Review (SLR)

  5. Conceptual or Policy Studies

  6. Applied Research and Innovation Articles

All manuscripts must present a clear academic contribution and must be relevant to the conference theme or one of the subject areas covered by the proceedings.

2. Originality and Publication Status

Submitted manuscripts must be original works that have not been previously published and are not simultaneously under consideration for publication in another journal or proceeding.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The manuscript is an original scholarly work.

  • All sources used in the manuscript are properly cited.

  • All listed authors have made a substantial contribution to the work.

  • All authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.

  • The manuscript has not been submitted simultaneously to another publication.

Submission of a manuscript implies that the authors agree to the editorial and publication policies of Proceedings National Conference Sinesia.

3. Manuscript Language

Manuscripts may be written in:

  • Indonesian; or

  • English.

Authors are expected to use clear, academic, and grammatically appropriate language throughout the manuscript.

4. Manuscript Structure

Research articles are generally expected to contain the following sections:

  1. Title

  2. Author Names

  3. Author Affiliations

  4. Corresponding Author Information

  5. Abstract

  6. Keywords

  7. Introduction

  8. Research Method

  9. Results and Discussion

  10. Conclusion

  11. Acknowledgments, if applicable

  12. References

The structure may be adjusted for community service, literature review, conceptual, or other types of scholarly manuscripts, provided that the manuscript maintains a clear academic structure.

5. Title

The title should:

  • Clearly reflect the main subject of the manuscript.

  • Be concise, specific, and informative.

  • Avoid unnecessary abbreviations.

  • Avoid overly general statements.

Authors are encouraged to use a title that clearly communicates the research problem, object, approach, or principal issue addressed by the manuscript.

6. Author Information

The manuscript must include complete information for all authors, including:

  • Full name of each author

  • Institutional affiliation

  • Department/Study Program, where applicable

  • Institution

  • City and country

  • Email address

  • ORCID ID, if available

The corresponding author must be clearly identified and will be responsible for communication with the editorial team during the submission and publication process.

7. Abstract

The abstract should provide a concise overview of the manuscript.

For research articles, the abstract should generally include:

  • Background or research problem

  • Objective

  • Method

  • Main findings

  • Conclusion

The abstract should be written in a clear and informative manner and should be understandable without referring to the main text.

8. Keywords

Authors should provide approximately 3–5 keywords that represent the main concepts discussed in the manuscript.

Keywords should be specific and relevant to the manuscript and should avoid unnecessary duplication of words already contained in the title.

9. Introduction

The introduction should establish the background and significance of the study.

It should generally include:

  • Research context and background

  • Relevant previous studies

  • Identification of the research gap

  • Research problem or question

  • Research objectives

  • Contribution or novelty of the study

Authors should use recent and relevant scholarly references to establish the academic context of the research.

10. Research Method

The methodology should be described clearly enough to allow readers to understand how the study was conducted.

Depending on the type of research, this section may include:

  • Research approach

  • Research design

  • Population and sample

  • Data sources

  • Data collection techniques

  • Data analysis techniques

  • Research location and period

  • Legal or regulatory materials, for normative legal research

  • Ethical considerations, where applicable

For qualitative, quantitative, normative, empirical, or mixed-method research, authors should clearly explain the methodology appropriate to their research design.

11. Results and Discussion

The results should present the main findings of the study in a clear and systematic manner.

The discussion should:

  • Interpret the findings.

  • Relate the findings to previous studies.

  • Explain similarities and differences with existing literature.

  • Discuss the theoretical, practical, policy, or scholarly implications.

  • Clearly demonstrate the contribution of the study.

Tables, figures, charts, and other visual materials may be used where appropriate.

12. Conclusion

The conclusion should directly address the research objectives or research questions.

It should summarize the principal findings and their implications without simply repeating the results section.

Where appropriate, authors may include recommendations for future research, policy development, or practical implementation.

13. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must:

  • Be numbered consecutively.

  • Have clear and informative titles.

  • Be referred to in the manuscript.

  • Be readable and properly formatted.

  • Include the source where applicable.

Authors must ensure that any copyrighted material used in figures, tables, photographs, or other visual materials has appropriate permission or is legally permitted for use.

14. Citations and References

All sources cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list, and all references listed must be cited in the manuscript.

Authors are encouraged to use current and relevant scholarly sources, particularly peer-reviewed journal articles and authoritative academic publications.

Reference-management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote may be used to ensure consistency.

Authors should follow the citation and reference style specified in the official manuscript template.

15. Plagiarism and Similarity

All submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism and similarity checking.

Authors must ensure that the manuscript is free from plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabricated information, and other forms of academic misconduct.

Proper citation must be provided for ideas, data, statements, or materials obtained from other sources.

Manuscripts that do not meet the required originality standards may be returned to the authors or rejected.

16. Use of Artificial Intelligence

Authors may use artificial intelligence tools as supporting tools for activities such as language improvement, grammar checking, translation, formatting assistance, or other legitimate editorial purposes.

However:

  • AI tools must not replace the intellectual contribution and responsibility of the authors.

  • Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and academic validity of the manuscript.

  • AI-generated content must be carefully verified by the authors.

  • AI tools must not be listed as authors.

  • Authors should disclose substantive use of generative AI in manuscript preparation where applicable.

The use of AI must comply with principles of transparency, academic integrity, and responsible scholarly communication.

17. Ethical Considerations

Authors must comply with generally accepted principles of research and publication ethics.

Authors must not engage in:

  • Plagiarism

  • Fabrication or falsification of data

  • Duplicate publication

  • Simultaneous submission

  • Manipulation of citations

  • Improper authorship

  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest

  • Other forms of academic misconduct

Where research involves human participants, authors should ensure that appropriate ethical requirements have been fulfilled.

18. Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal interests that could potentially influence the research or its interpretation.

If no conflict of interest exists, authors may state:

“The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest related to this study.”

19. Funding Statement

Authors should disclose the source of research funding, if applicable.

Where the research did not receive specific funding, authors may state:

“This research received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors.”

20. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the online submission system of Proceedings National Conference Sinesia.

Authors should:

  1. Register or log in to the submission system.

  2. Select the appropriate submission section.

  3. Enter complete author information.

  4. Upload the manuscript according to the required format.

  5. Complete the metadata accurately.

  6. Add all authors and their affiliations.

  7. Submit the manuscript for editorial consideration.

  8. Respond to editorial or reviewer comments when requested.

Authors should carefully check all metadata before completing the submission.

21. Review and Editorial Process

Submitted manuscripts will undergo an initial editorial screening to assess:

  • Relevance to the proceedings;

  • Originality;

  • Compliance with author guidelines;

  • Manuscript completeness;

  • Academic quality; and

  • Compliance with publication ethics.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening may proceed to the peer-review or editorial evaluation process.

22. Revision

Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on editorial and reviewer comments.

When submitting a revised manuscript, authors should:

  • Address all reviewer comments carefully.

  • Clearly indicate revisions made.

  • Provide explanations where a recommendation is not adopted.

  • Submit the revised manuscript within the specified deadline.

23. Article Processing and Publication Fees

Any applicable registration, publication, or article processing fees will be communicated to authors through the official conference and proceedings channels.

Authors should refer to the latest conference announcement for information regarding applicable fees and payment procedures.

24. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain appropriate rights to their scholarly work while granting Proceedings National Conference Sinesia the necessary rights to publish and disseminate the accepted manuscript.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscript does not infringe the copyright or other intellectual property rights of third parties.

25. Author Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that:

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere.

  • The manuscript is not under consideration by another publication.

  • The manuscript follows the official template.

  • All authors are correctly identified.

  • Author affiliations and email addresses are complete.

  • The abstract is complete and informative.

  • Keywords are provided.

  • Tables and figures are properly numbered and cited.

  • All sources are properly cited.

  • Every cited source appears in the reference list.

  • Plagiarism and academic integrity requirements are satisfied.

  • Any relevant conflicts of interest are disclosed.

  • Funding information is provided where applicable.

  • AI use has been appropriately disclosed where required.

  • The manuscript has been carefully proofread before submission.
